Leptosphaeria peruviana Speg.

Ascomata: 122-150 m in diam., immersed, lenticular to subglobose, black, ostiolate, coriaceous, membranous.

Asci: 52-66 x 8-14 m, 8-spored, cylindrical-clavate, rounded at the apex, pedunculate, thick-walled, bitunicate, fissitunicate.

Ascospores: 10-16 x 4-5.5 m, overlaping 1-seriate, dirty olive-brown, cylindrical-ellipsoidal, 3-septate, constricted at the septa, second cell from the top largest.
